Calendar: 28th november- 2nd december 2016

Location: Varshets, Bulgaria

Participants: 10 groups of 5 children and 1 teacher. The pupils must be aged between 12 and 14 years

Conditions that must be met by the children:

–          To have available Identity Card (for those aged over 14 years old) or valid passport (for those aged between 12-13 years old),

–          To have a good school situation (constant class attendance, grades above average),

–          To have maximum grade for behavior,

–          Speaking english is an advantage, it is not mandatory,

–          The children with poor financial situation will be our priority ,

–          To have a signed notary statement regarding their tutors consent about the departure.

Advantages for the participants:

–          All the costs (transport, accommodation, meals) for the participants and their teachers are supported by the project

–          Attending educational activities regarding natural and cultural heritage of the cross-border area.

–          Attending entertaining and sports activities;

–          Participants will receive promotional materials;

–          The children will be involved in a photo contest;

–          Interacting with other children of the same age from Romania and Bulgaria;

–          All the participants (children and teachers) will receive diplomas and certificates for participation in the project.

About the project

On 3rd of February 2016 started the first stage of the project “Green School Education as a Promotion of Sustainable Use of Cultural and Natural Heritage and Resources” implemented by Association Center for Development Montanesium /ACDM/, Montana, Bulgaria,  in partnership with Forever for Europe Association, Craiova. It is financed by Interreg V-A Romania Bulgaria programme and co-financed by European Union through European Fund for Regional Development.

The project, having the deadline implementing time until august 2017, aims to promote the durable use of cultural and natural heritage of Dolj county and Montana district through development and promotion of a new touristic product in Montana, named Green School Education, establishment of a Tourist Information Center in Craiova and running a intense campaign to promote 20 cultural and natural objectives of the corss-border area.

300 students aged between 10 and 16 years, from Dolj and Montana, will benefit from the newly developed touristic product (Green School Education) participating in activities scheduled for 5 days. These will be organized in Varshets city, in Bulgaria, and will consist of sporting activities, presentations, games, movie watching and visits at touristic objectives in the area.

How can you take part:

1.       Teachers who want to participate with a group of 5 children at Green School, will announce their intention to participate by mail box: nbdaniel@gmail.com or by phone 0730.250.628. Contact person Daniel Neagoe-Bacanu. Deadline for application is 30th september 2016.

2.       After receiving the participation agreement from the project team, the teacher will start selecting the 5 children to make the group, according to the conditions above mentioned.

3.       The teacher will send the final list of the participants, together with the documents (Identity cards, notarial statements, etc.), until 14th november 2016.

4.       The project team will organize the event.
